The club held a "competition with a difference" on 12th November 2025. The theme was "Wildlife and Nature" but we didn't play to the normal, strict "Wildlife" rules. Members were able to interpret the theme in any way and many rose to the challenge, putting their own personal stamp on the topic. Who but Gill Best-Knight would include two dolls in a shot with the title "Little Flowers"? The "Dandelion Head" which resembled an exploding firework could only come from the mind of Ray Urwin. Some members also submitted "straight" nature shots, with a total of 44 entries.

The competition was set up by Melvyn Crow, and members voted for the images to hold. Sean Knight then added up the scores the members gave each image, to award First, Second and Third places and two highly commended images. The winners are shown below. Congratulations to Ray Urwin for his Dandelion Head, and to new member Terry Gibson who bagged both second and third places!
